One thing to consider in having a music room aside from the size of the room is the wall for a proper soundproofing. It’s nice to have a music room that doesn’t give noise pollution to the neighborhood. Enough size of the room should be taken into consideration too. It would be hard to place a number of musical instruments like Hart Dynamics electronic drums, guitars and what nots if the area isn’t huge enough to accommodate all the instruments.

The room should also provide accommodation not only to the instruments but also to the people. If you have just started a family, one good thing to consider in building a house is having a two-bedroom house. I think during the first few years as a family, one room for the children gives them ample time to bond and build their connection stronger. If there’s an extra space, you can consider putting up a study room or an entertainment room or a garden or play area outside. This extra space you can build into another room to separate the boys from the girls on their elementary or high school days – just so the girls can talk about ‘girls’ stuffs’ like fashionable nurses uniforms or chic js prom dresses with complete seclusion while giving boys their much-needed privacy as well.

There’s no harm in following a little feng shui if you want to welcome a good energy inside your home. If it can somehow help you manage your business and investmentswell and prevent you from calling debt counselor help, go and follow the positive vibes.

Here’s how to prepare the south side of your home for a better 2012;

Place water and metal element decorations in the south bagua area. Because of their element energies, it is best to put colors blue, black, charcoal grey and white for your south bagua are.

Avoid placing any wood element decorations in the south as wood weakens the water feng shui element. Also do not place tall big plants or any decorations with plants or greenery on the south. It is also not a good option to put green and brown on this side of your home.

Even if you know that the place you live is located on the most secured subdivision, there’s no harm in making sure that every corner of your house are well secured from robbery, thefts or any bad elements outside.

Here are some tips on how to better secure your home;

Make sure every entry and exit point has sturdy locks and keys should be given only to the family members or trusted individuals you live with.

Doors and windows should not be left open for strangers to take a peek on what’s inside your house.

Keep the gates closed. When strangers ask for something make sure that you do not open the gate until you are sure that he means no harm.

If you can afford it, place CCTV cameras to strategic places in your home.

As they say, it is always better safe than sorry. So guard your home and protect your loved ones.

If you want a lively home and you don’t have kids around one option you need to consider is in having some pets and live plants at home. Pets don’t only teach you responsibility, it also adds a loving environment inside your home. Some pets I consider lovable are dogs, fishes and birds. There is just something with these pet animals that is worth taking care of.

Plants don’t only add beauty to your house, some studies say that when you place plants on your study table, it helps you smarter. Maybe it’s one best way to have some coin business in the future, where you can buy silver coins and then sell them in a much higher price.

It can be tiresome to take care of pets and plants at home but the advantages outweigh the cons. It is always overwhelming to take care of something else that contributes great not only to oneself but to the society as well.

If you want to put some decorative display on your wall, do you know what picture to display on each area of the house? This can be tricky sometimes and it depends on your own style but if you’re one who loves the contemporary style here’s a tip I would gladly share.

Put your favorite paintings or picture in the living room. The living room is the place where you meet your guests and it can be the start of the good conversation each time a new guest visit the house.

Place a picture frame of fruits, vegetables or something edible on the kitchen or dining area.

If you have a sensual painting of yourself wearing some womens lingerie, it’s just appropriate to put it on your bed room.

Some picture frames of your loved ones can be placed near your main door, it can be an added display aside from live plants at the door.

If you have a mini office at your house, place the framed diplomas or your graduation pictures at the wall.

Just make sure that the color of your wall matches each picture frames.

Beautifying my Little Home

I started my first project for the year that is to put our latest picture on a frame and put them on display. I am glad I was able to do it before I get back to work next week.

I also did a little makeover in our little kitchen and bought some lunch boxes for me and husband. My next project is to get a shoe rack for my sandals, a new set of hanger for my corporate dress and some dining wares. I just hope I’ll be able to finish off these little projects before the month ends. Next month I would be back to working and will have to leave this home on weekdays, I just want to leave it somehow spick and span, gives me peace of mind. ^-^

How to Clean Your Kitchen Cabinets

If you have kids around the house, well chances are you would often see food smudges, finger prints and grime build up that was left in and outside your kitchen cabinets. With all the dirt and dust, the once shiny and sparkling wooden cabinet has turned into something dull and dingy. If you waited for too long to clean them, it will much harder to achieve its original look. You need to know to restore the luster in your cabinet by learning how to proper clean them.

You should regularly clean the exterior part of your cabinets which are probably made of painted wood, plastic laminate and even metals. To clean the exterior part, you will need a cleaning solution which is a combination of warm water and liquid soap. This is enough to get rid of the food smudges, moderate build of grease and dust off the cabinets. Once you are done soaping, rinse it using another clean cloth and finally dry it with a clean, soft and dry cloth. Remember that you have to do this regularly.

Now that you are done with exterior cleaning, it is time to clean the inner part of the cabinet. You need to empty it and remove the shelf lining in case you have one. Then begin to wash the interior part of the cabinet with water and mild detergent solution. However, there are food residues such as bread crumbs it is best that you vacuum it first before you begin to wipe them down. Afterwards, rinse with damp cloth and wipe it dry using a clean and dry cloth.

Aside from cleaning the interior and exterior part of the cabinet, you should also make sure that you check the items inside. If there are any expired items, you can throw them away. As soon as you are done with cleaning the interior part, you have to leave it open for at least an hour to make sure that it is fully dry.
